Dear chess players,
I am excited to invite you to take part in the 2024 North American Junior Chess Championship! The competition will take place in Calgary, AB Canada on August 14-18, 2024 at the Best Western Premier Calgary Hotel and Conference Center.
The NAJCC tournament is open to all North American players aged 20 and under (born after Jan 1, 2004). It will be played in two categories; Open and Girls.
The winners of the Open category will earn a title of International Master and a Grandmaster norm. The winner of the Girls tournament will win the title of Women’s International Master and a norm of Women’s Grandmaster. Up to 3 titles are available for players who are tied for first place.

A special rate of $149 Canadian a night is offered by the hotel and it includes a hot breakfast! This year’s event will have a maximum capacity of 120 players so please register early to secure your spot.
